Dean Coady OBE is delivering knife, gang and youth violence education workshops across Hampshire throughout Jan-Feb 2020
Secondary School Offer: We invite secondary schools who are experiencing issues with knife crime, gangs and youth violence to register their interest in hosting Dean for the day. Dean will deliver 3 sessions to pupils throughout the day along with a professionals training session after school.
Community Outreach Offer: Dean has offered to attend youth clubs or local areas to conduct outreach intervention/diversion work with young people in the community.
Hampshire Alert Pilot in Schools: scoping the suitability of Hants Alert as a platform to communicate safety and crime prevention advice to 11-15 year olds.
We are looking for secondary schools to work with us to shape and explore a pilot using our current Hampshire Alert crime prevention and neighbourhood awareness tool to keep young people informed in the same way we do with the rest of the community.
Police Apprentice Competition for KS2, 3 and 4 pupils to tackle the growing rise in youth violence
In keeping with our Police Apprentice Engagement Initiative, we are joining forces with Collaborative Digital to actively involve children in problem-solving issues affecting them and their peers – we will be launching a competition in the new year, giving pupils the opportunity to research and explore age-relevant aspects of this issue, designing an idea to spread positive messages to their peers, an idea which could be chosen to develop and launch as a corporate campaign in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight..
Can you support us to develop our police initiatives?
We are looking for schools and youth groups across the county to get involved in three upcoming police led projects; details of each are presented opposite.
