Hampshire County Council ‘Your Time to Shine’ campaign supports National Brake Week.
On Friday 23rd November 2018 schools are being encouraged to get involved in Your Time to Shine through a range of activities including having a Be Bright Be Seen non-school uniform day, allowing pupils to dress in bright colours.
The campaign aim is to highlight to both adults and children, the importance of using reflecting clothing and gadgets in a fun and innovative way to make themselves more visible to drivers and safer on the road.
In addition to holding a Be Bright Be Seen non-school uniform day, you could also plan to look at different materials in science, design bright clothes, create a bright mosaic to be displayed in school, have a fashion show of the brightest outfits or create a song or poem about being bright.
If your school is unable to participate on 23rd November, that’s okay, participation is encouraged to be ongoing at a time to suit the flexibility of your school.
Promote the day
If you are on Twitter you can follow @HantsRoadSafety where the road safety team will be tweeting about the event with the opportunity to share what your school is doing too.
